What to Expect

First appointment paperwork: I am 100% paper-free. At least 24-hours prior to your appointment start time, please fill out your electronic health intake form. Need help? Feel free to email me at info@beactivemassage.com and I can email you the intake form link.

Arrive on time: I am typically ready to go up to 5-minutes before your appointment start time. Please arrive early enough to get yourself settled, use the washroom and ready for treatment. The treatment duration that you have booked will be the length of your entire appointment, including going over your intake, and any assessments, not the hands-on massage time.

Parking: Free, accessible parking lot just out front.

Door code: To access inside, a door code is emailed in the 48-hour reminder email and 2-hour reminder text message. Forgot your phone? I am often nearby to open the door for you.

Draping: Clients are covered with sheet and blanket during the massage. Only areas that we have previously discussed that will be worked on will be un-draped. If you prefer to stay dressed during treatment, I can fully accommodate. Feel free to bring athletic clothing such as shorts/sports bra/tank-top to treatment.

Booking: My online booking calendar is the easiest way to reserve an appointment. My calendar does book up weeks in advance. If you cannot find a spot that suits you, feel free to email me a request. I have an ongoing waitlist. Calling to request an appointment is the most inefficient method as I am likely in session for most of the day. I may not be able to return your call until the next morning.

Pricing: My service rates are listed both within online booking and within my service rate page HERE. I have a no tip policy. The best way to show your appreciation is to leave a Google review and/or referrals.

Appointment cancellation and rescheduling: When you book an appointment, you are reserving that time-slot. I have a strict, no exceptions 48-hour cancellation policy. When booking an appointment, you are agreeing to my policies. Please be familiar with my policies listed online HERE.

Are you taking new clients?

YES! New clients are welcomed.

Do you need to know about "( health history / medication )"

Health History Information

Yes. It is important that your massage therapist fully knows your current health status and health history. You may not think that your old surgery, injury, scar or current medication is relevant. You may be amazed how something that occurred years ago can still show up as symptoms somewhere else. Also, some medications can affect tissue health, energy and pain levels.

Can Massage be Painful?

You are always in control.

Sometimes if your body is very tight, you may feel more tenderness. At no time should you feel like it hurts so bad.
